Descrição da vaga: Offer DescriptionThe selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral Fellowship granted for 24 months by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation, in the monthly amount of BRL 12.000,00 + a research fund (10% of the fellowship) to be spent on items directly related to the research activity. The fellowship demands full-time dedication to the research project. The post-doctoral fellow will assist in activities related to the project such as collecting samples in the field, laboratory and statistical analyses, dissertations and theses, writing reports and scientific articles, as well as in related activities.Candidates must have:1) A doctorate degree, obtained within a maximum of 5 years on the final date of registration;2) Motivation to develop a research project on the topic “The genetics of residual feed intake, enteric methane emission and nutrient digestibility in Nellore cattle” in Sertãozinho (Brazil) at the Advanced Center for Research and Development on Beef Cattle (CPAD), Animal Science Institute (IZ), São Paulo State Department of Agriculture and Supply.3) Proven experience in:a) Phenotyping of feed efficiency and methane emission traits;b) Organization of phenotype and genotype databases;c) Genetic and genomic evaluation methodologies;d) Genomic tools applied to animal breeding.Documents for applications are: a) curriculum summary in the (maximum of 4 pages); b) motivation letter; c) research proposal (3 pages); and d) three letters of recommendation.
