Knowledge about sugarcane crop, experiences demonstrated by published papers in annotation of sugarcane secondary metabolites (softwares and use of data banks), hand-on experiences in gene cloning, heterologous expression, protein purification, and bioassays with coleopteran and lepidopteran pests will be considered as a plus.The selected candidate will be responsible for developing a research project on sugarcane, defined as a priority and strategic for CEPENFITO, in articulation with the research institutions associated with the Center. The candidate must demonstrate training and interest in the area described, as well as predisposition for interdisciplinary research. The following experience and knowledge are considered relevant: data analysis in mass spectrometry for the annotation of secondary metabolites of sugarcane, statistical analyses for targeted and untargeted metabolomics, as well as expertise in gene cloning, protein purification, and conducting bioassays with insect pests. Experience with publications peer-reviewed publications in indexed scientific journals will also be relevantSpecific RequirementsThe candidate must have exclusive dedication to the Post-Doctoral program (40 h/week, in person, at Unesp Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil). Duration of the Fellowship: 24 months
Fellowship value: R$ 108,568.80 a year (R$ 9,047.40/month)
Post-Doctorate Program: According to Brazilian regulation PD is not a job and candidates will receive a fellowship.
