Descrição da vaga: Offer DescriptionThe Molecular Biology Laboratory at the University of Sâo Paulo’s Ribeirão Preto School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCFRP-USP) in Brazil has a post-doctoral fellowship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) starting 12/01/2024. The objective of this sub-project is to investigate the mechanism of action of antifungal drug brilacidin as an adjuvant against the human pathogenic fungi Aspergillus fumigatus.The candidate’s minimum requirements are:1) To have a PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology or related areas.2) Knowledge in:a) Basic molecular techniques such as extraction and isolation of proteins and nucleic acids, PCR (RTqPCR and conventional), Western Blotting etc;b) Experience in research on microorganisms using molecular biology and genetic techniques.3) It is important to have skills in handling mice and animal models for the study of microbial infection.4) Leadership profile, motivation and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.5) Communication and writing skills in English.6) Professional independence to plan and execute experiments, prepare/submit scientific articles.Interested candidates should send résumé and two letters of recommendation to Dr. Gustavo H.
