The Senior Data Scientist will seek out and incorporate new ideas into concepts that lead to Data Analytics solutions to drive improvements to existing products and processes.Expectations:
- Extract insights from data assets using advanced analytical techniques like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Optimization, Simulation and Deep Learning to support developing and deploying solutions for real-world business and manufacturing problems.
- Understand the business problem statement and identify data sources required for modelling, including systems like SAP S/4HANA, Camstar, Labware/Labvantage, Rockwell Factory Talk, TrakSys, OSI-PI, etc.
- Perform multiple forms of advanced analyses, correlating multiple sources to drive insights that functions need to focus on to improve business metrics.
- Perform data curation across multiple business systems.
- Build, test, validate and launch advanced learning algorithms via rigorous test/control experimentation.
- Manipulate data to create new features that could increase the accuracy of an algorithm.
- Translate analytics insights into visualization and actionable business and product decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dominates product and process flow knowledge.
- Define data requirements and define data collection strategy with input of project owner and subject matter experts.
- Structures and prepares data.
- Selects equipment and information to digitize and define design of network.
- Identifies and communicates to stakeholders, meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources.
- Develops Data Analytics SMEs by providing technical expertise, in terms of problem solving for technical and executional problems using advanced knowledge and experience.
- Develop Deep Learning algorithms for Vision Engineering solutions.
- Ensure validation of systems generated as a result of Data Science projects.
- Ensure project timelines and all required project needs are met.
Education:
- 4-6 years with degree in related field.
- Advanced English level, as this position will work on corporate scenario, supporting multiple sites world-wide.
Experience and Skills:Required:
- 4-6 years as Engineer, Programmer or academic related experience combined with Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning and Agile Methodology knowledge.
- B.S. degree with a minimum of two to four (2 to 4) years of industrial experience.
- Knowledge on SAP (S/4HANA) system.
- Data Analytics platform experience, such as Tableau, QLIK and PowerBI.
- Demonstrates capabilities to share and educate people, driving digital culture of the organization.
- Ability to program applications – including understanding of advanced programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, Java, etc.
- Displays in-depth knowledge of Descriptive, Prescriptive and Predictive analytics in model development and assessment.
- Exhibits comprehensive knowledge in Machine Learning.
- Working knowledge on statistical techniques
- Applies knowledge on product requirements, functionality and field application when developing hypothesis and proposing solutions.
- Work with J&J Technology team to propose new solutions (AI, Predictive applications)
- Uses Finance concepts to create project business cases
Preferred:
- Need to be studying Master’s of Science in related field.
- Data Science certification completed.
- Advanced Analytics software experience with Dataiku, SAS or similar.
- Must have excellent proven problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must have good interpersonal skills to effectively utilize influence management techniques.
- Must be able to apply and comprehend a broad range of engineering and scientific principles.
