Develop and continuously improve production processes in terms of productivity, quality and reduction of associated costs through optimal design with respect to applicable standards.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS Define the specification and technologic requirements to be developed for new processes.
Assure implementation of Ficosa process standards.
Collaborate in the production problems analysis (productivity and quality) of the plant, proposing appropriate corrective measures for the process improvement through the global standards.
Participate in the Projects meetings.
Close cooperation with Product Engineers through application of DFM/A principles in order to increase the productivity of the processes and reduce the associated costs.
Participate with an active role in the decision for manufacturing workshops.
Take part in offer processes of new projects, analyzing the products design to guarantee their optimum industrialization, and analyze the costs and investments related to the mentioned industrialization.
Take part in the new products R&D projects by contributing to the necessary solutions from the processes point of view.
Take part in the Benchmarking teams by contributing to the analysis of matters related to the processes.
Participate in the research and develop new technologies of the productive processes, with the objective of improving the existing ones.
Propose improvements for the actual processes standards.
Support continuous improvement activities in the processes in the plant of responsibility.
Observe Ficosas Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices.
Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Academic background: Bachelors degree in electronic, mechanic automation or similar engineering.
Languages: Fluent in local language & Fluent in English (spoken, read & written).
Travel: Willing to travel.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS Additional training: Automation systems programming and design (PLC, HMI, robots, servo-drives, vision systems, etc.
); mechanical engineering; specific knowledge on processes under responsibility; lean manufacturing methods, six sigma problem solving, analysis and statistics tools; ISO TS requirements would be of additional value.
