• About the job The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the logistics and transportation operations involving the Middle Mile segment of the supply chain.
• This role involves managing the movement of goods between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to optimize the Middle Mile supply chain operations.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor transportation costs, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including warehouse operations, procurement, and inventory management to streamline operations.
• Analyze transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules to improve service levels and reduce lead times.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Middle Mile logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of Middle Mile logistics specialists and coordinators.
• Qualifications Bachelor”s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Master”s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, transportation regulations, and market trends in Middle Mile logistics.
• Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.
